This tournament exclusively reserved for women will compete the top 8 Tekken 8 players from the African continent, according to Tekken Madagascar. It follows in the footsteps of the Kongo Esports Champions, recently won by Kimi in Congo. Eight countries will be competing in the championship, including South Africa, Eswatini, Zambia, Namibia, Malawi, Lesotho, Kenya, and Madagascar.

EMBASSY OF MADAGASCAR IN MOROCCO
The new Embassy of Madagascar in Morocco was officially inaugurated on November 27th. The Malagasy diaspora in Morocco now benefits from the support of the Embassy in their administrative and social procedures. Having received the approval of King Mohamed VI, Johary Hoela Rajobson holds the position of Ambassador of Madagascar to the Kingdom of Morocco. The inauguration of the Embassy of Madagascar in Morocco is part of a historical context between the two countries, a link that dates back to the exile of King Mohammed V of Morocco in Antsirabe between 1954 and 1956. The opening of this new embassy marks the beginning of a new era of dynamism in the cooperation between Madagascar and Morocco, as stated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Madagascar.

BAREA CHAN
50 players from local Malagasy clubs have been selected to participate in the Barea gathering in preparation for the matches against Eswatini in the second round of qualifications for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024. This second gathering, which begins on Thursday, November 28, will continue until the national team’s departure for the first leg match scheduled between December 20 and 22, 2024. The second leg match is set between December 27 and 29, 2024. Starting next week, a progressive selection will be made from the invited players to arrive at a final list of 30 players, including 23 main players and 7 reserves, who will make up the team for the decisive matches against Eswatini, explained the Malagasy Football Federation. The players for the CHAN will be directed and coached by Romuald Rakotondrabe. He relies on the commitment of local players to build a competitive team and meet the challenge of this continental competition. As a reminder, in the last edition of the CHAN in Algeria, the Barea A’ team, under the leadership of Rôrô Rakotondrabe, managed to reach the third place at the end of the competition. The Malagasy Football Federation emphasizes that the CHAN remains strictly reserved for players active in their local leagues, despite speculations about a possible opening of the competition to players playing on the African continent.
