CTM
The Executive Director of the Confederation of Madagascar (CTM), Lova Ratovomalala, participated in the Conference on the theme “Sustainable Tourism for a Comprehensive Approach”, as part of the International Civil Aviation Day last Friday, invited by the Civil Aviation of Madagascar (ACM). On the sidelines of the event, he took the opportunity to highlight the importance of “preserving natural capital and the well-being of local communities,” which is a major focus of the Private Sector Roadmap for tourism in Madagascar. He particularly emphasized the urgency of increasing domestic flights and rehabilitating national roads, which he believes are crucial for developing the destination and still currently affecting the tourism development on the Big Island, to the detriment of professionals who are only just recovering from the economic consequences of COVID-19. “Despite all our potential, we cannot move forward until the problems of domestic flights and accessibility are quickly resolved,” he explains.
