CAMPAIGN ACCOUNT
Candidates for the municipal and communal elections held on December 11th have until March 11th, 2025 at the latest to submit their campaign account to the Commission for Control of the Financing of Political Life and Electoral Campaigns (CCFVP). This is in accordance with Articles 64 and 67 of the law on the general regime of elections and referendums, which require candidates for all elections in Madagascar to keep a campaign account that records related activities and to submit this account to the CCFVP within the time limits prescribed by law.

PSE-EDUCATION-TECHNICAL EDUCATION-HIGHER EDUCATION
The Ministry of National Education is currently working on the development of the five-year plan for Education and the drafting of the regulatory part of the Education Code. The Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training, on the other hand, is launching a strategy to expand vocational training, while the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is implementing concrete measures to improve the quality of higher education, such as revising the texts related to obtaining a doctoral diploma and HDR, improving the teacher recruitment policy, and strengthening teachers’ capacities.

ELECTRICITY RIA
Due to the decrease in water levels in almost all hydroelectric power plants, the government has decided to support JIRAMA in starting up thermal power plants (HFO and LFO) in order to fill the gap in electricity production in Antananarivo, currently facing a decrease in water supply in almost all hydroelectric power plants. Jirama reiterates that it will do everything possible to mitigate power cuts on the Antananarivo Interconnected Network, especially during this festive period.
