SNLCC 2025-2030
Nearly 1,000 actors from various sectors participated in the design of the new National Strategy to Combat Corruption (SNLCC) 2025-2030 in Madagascar, according to Sahondra Rabenarivo, President of the SNLCC Steering Committee. 365 people participated in regional consultations, and 575 others contributed to the development of recommendations, as well as the definition of action priorities and expected results, during 12 thematic consultations. This inclusive approach allowed for relevant adjustments, better adapted to local realities, in order to more effectively meet the expectations of different stakeholders in the fight against corruption in Madagascar. The Committee organized a national validation workshop for the new SNLCC, which will be followed by the final drafting of the strategic document, as well as the implementation plan and the associated monitoring and evaluation system. However, due to the duration of this last stage and the electoral period, the official presentation of the new SNLCC 2025-2030 to the public is scheduled for early 2025.

FUTURE OF CHILDREN HERE IN 2050
Madagascar currently has 14.4 million children; by 2050, there will be over 24 million, although this will represent 41% of the population compared to nearly 50% today. Madagascar will therefore be among the low-income countries with a very large number of children, emphasizes UNICEF. An urgent adjustment of policies and resources to meet the needs of children in a changing environment is required. Many challenges are to be faced by the children who will be living in 2050, including poor quality of education, the current climate and environmental crisis, the significant increase in malaria incidence, difficulties accessing clean water and diverse and healthy food, as well as air pollution. Efforts are also needed to solve the problem of the digital divide which is worsened by the absence or instability of electricity and inadequate infrastructure.

JURISPRUDENCE
1,016 judgments out of a preselection of approximately 2,090 judgments rendered between 2010 and 2018 have been validated to constitute the basis of the official collection of case law following a second workshop organized by the Ministry of Justice in collaboration with the Movement for Ethics and Deontology of Madagascar (MEDEM). It should be recalled that the judgments for the year 2009, amounting to 114, had already been identified during previous work to be included. In parallel with the validation of the judgments, the work also focused on the development of digital platforms for case law. This includes a web portal and a mobile application that will allow public access to the collection of case law, whether it be a justice professional such as judges or lawyers, or whether it be a student or researcher. A web platform and a desktop application will also be provided to the responsible individuals in charge of publishing these decisions. These platforms will provide quick and simplified access to Malagasy case law, contributing to reducing disparities in judgment, limiting appeals to the Supreme Court, and ensuring increased legal security for all litigants. The entire project is supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), under the RINDRA Program.
