Today, after many excursions in the Masoala Rainforest, we have a bit of intercultural encounter on the agenda.
After breakfast on the Sea Deck of the Masoala Forest Lodge, you will be guided through the coastal forest to the rice fields belonging to the village of Ambodiforaha. There, you will usually be welcomed by the Betsimisaraka people, who are happy to give you an insight into their traditions, culture, and way of life.
The friendly residents often invite visitors into their homes to show them traditionally woven baskets and mats. Lunch will be back at the Masoala Forest Lodge. If you'd like, you can take the opportunity for a relaxing and very traditional pirogue ride afterwards. Dinner with its culinary delights will once again be served at the Lodge. |

Day 8: A trip to Nosy Mangabe to conclude your adventure

After breakfast, hop on a motorboat to head to Nosy Mangabe. This nature reserve on an island rises from the waters of Antongil Bay and is home to numerous unique animals and plants that you must discover.

Once again, enjoy a picnic on the beach before the boat takes you back to Maroantsetra.
