After the exciting tours through Ranomafana National Park, the journey through Madagascar continues on the fifth day of the trip. In Fianarantsoa, we will take a break, giving you the opportunity to explore the city and, if you wish, observe an internationally renowned photographer at work. Then, we will head southwards. As you look out the window during this stretch, you will discover massive granite rocks, blood-red laterite soils, and increasingly sparse grass – clear signs that the southern part of Madagascar is getting closer. Once in Ambalavao, you will have various options to choose from. Visiting a nearby village where we have been implementing a project for a drinking water well for over ten years is one option, as well as exploring the local zebu market, which is always a spectacle. Accommodation for the night will be at the Betsileo Country Lodge. |

Day 6 - From Ambalavao to Ranohira to Isalo National Park
The sixth day starts with a hike in a private reserve called Anja Park. In addition to lemurs, you can also discover various reptiles, cave tombs, and spiritual gathering places of the Betsileo ethnic group in Anja Park. After the hike, we continue our journey by car heading south. We are expected to arrive in Ranohira by the afternoon. This stop takes us to the Isalo National Park, which will be our main destination the next day. First, we will enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the Isalo Rock Hotel. |

However, these animals have lost all fear and will literally jump on visitors, so it is highly recommended to wear washable rain gear. The nearby forest is home to a large number of crocodiles, the rare "Fossa", and other unique animals that can be explored on a 1-2 hour guided tour. Night walks in the rainforest are also possible from the lodge. Overnight at the "Eulophiella Lodge" |
