Day 1: Arrival in Antananarivo

On the first day of your journey, you will arrive in the Madagascan capital Antananarivo, where you will be welcomed by us and our team. You will then be transferred to Villa Sibylle. Upon arrival, a first information meeting is scheduled. You will have plenty of time to inspect the motorcycles. We will also provide you with plenty of safety tips and information about the planned route. To top it off, you will enjoy a delicious aperitif to sweeten your first evening in Madagascar. Accommodation will be provided at Villa Sybille or an equivalent hotel in the city center.
Day 2: From Antananarivo to Antsirabe Stage of 168 km - a somewhat chaotic start when passing through Antananarivo To avoid traffic jams in the capital, start early in Antananarivo. After just 20 kilometers, leave the noise of the city behind and be greeted by hilly landscapes with rice fields ahead of you. The first stop in Ambatolampy allows you to get acquainted with the locals. Lunch is planned at a local restaurant, with arrival in Antsirabe scheduled for early afternoon. Afterwards, drive through beautiful volcanic landscapes where the light traffic makes it easy to stop and enjoy the peaceful scenery. There will surely be enough time before enjoying a delicious dinner to take a little detour to Betafo before checking in at the Hotel Chambres du Voyageur for the night.

Day 3: Excursion to Betafo

This day trip involves minimal driving but offers fantastic hikes in a volcanic landscape. Today, you will first visit the bustling market of Antsirabe and take a motorcycle city tour before heading west. Upon arrival in Betafo, you will take a leisurely walk to the local waterfall. You can choose to have lunch as a picnic or dine at a restaurant in town. In the afternoon, you will return to Antsirabe with a stop at the hot springs. Dinner and overnight accommodation will once again be at Hotel Chambres du Voyageur.

Day 4: From Antsirabe to Fianarantsoa

Day trip of about 240 km on winding roads In the morning, you will travel through the beautiful plain with rice fields that shimmer in the morning sunlight. Next, you will drive into the wooded region of "Tapias", where many endemic tree species grow. A coffee break is planned in the city of Ambositra, and the motorcycle tanks will be refilled. The road becomes more winding from now on, and the surrounding landscape is characterized by numerous hills and traditional villages. A traditional Malagasy lunch awaits you at the Ambohimahasoa Hotel, with arrival in Fianarantsoa planned for the afternoon. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be either at the Tsara Guest House or the La Rizière Hotel.

Day 5: From Fianarantsoa to Ambalavao

Short stage of only 56 km, with pleasant curves ideal for cruising In the morning, the journey starts with a visit to the Upper Town of Fianarantsoa, listed as a cultural heritage site, before heading back to the RN7 road towards the south. The road continues past rice fields and winds through a breathtaking hilly panorama slowly dotted with huge rocks, transforming into a mountainous landscape. On either side of the road, you can now discover the famous vineyards of Madagascar. Upon arrival in Ambalavao, a visit to the village known for its architecture, combining wood and stone in the construction of houses, is on the agenda. The overnight stay and dinner will be at the Betsileo Country Lodge.

Day 6: From Ambalavao to the Isalo Massif

From the Mountains through the Southern Savannas to Isalo-225 km without Traffic In the morning hours, we will first visit the Anja Forest, a protected pristine forest area where numerous endemic animal and plant species call home. Lemurs, chameleons, and many other animals can be admired here in their natural habitat. After leaving Ihosy behind, you will notice the landscape starting to change as you head towards a completely barren plateau called Horombe. Then, we will continue to the Isalo Ranch Hotel, where you can relax by the pool before winding down the day with dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.

Day 7: From Isalo to Ifaty

The final leg of the journey is 276 km long. After the first part of today's route, characterized by incredible mineral landscapes, you will continue through the area where the largest sapphire mines are located, heading further south to the barren lands. Savannas and deciduous forests with huge baobab trees will give way to thorn forests with euphorbias and cacti. Next, you will travel 39 kilometers along the coastal road, passing through dune and mangrove landscapes, as well as sections dominated by thorn bush forests. For your overnight stay and dinner, Hotel Bella Donna is the designated accommodation, offering a great view of a large fishing village.

Day 8 and 9: Relaxation in Ifaty

Today, you can indulge in your first relaxation day in Ifaty-Mangily right by the sea. You have the option to visit an impressive spiny forest with many baobab trees, or you can go diving, snorkeling, or simply enjoy the tranquility by the Mozambique Channel. On the second day, a tour can be organized on the new road heading north, where you can enjoy beautiful landscapes and small fishing villages along the coast. Dinner is planned in the village, and accommodation will once again be at Hotel Belladonna.

Day 10: From Ifaty to Isalo

Today, you will once again spend the day on the road, traveling back towards the north. A stop at the Zombitse-Vohibasia Reserve is planned halfway along the route. Amidst the barren and mineral-rich landscape, you'll find beautiful natural pools and waterfalls surrounded by lush tropical nature. The overpriced national park can easily be replaced by the private area of the Isalo Rock Lodge, offering the same stunning scenery for you to enjoy in peace. Overnight stay at Hotel Isalo Rock Lodge ****.

Day 11: From Isalo to Sahambavy

Relatively long stage with a very diverse landscape - 244 km The Isalo mountains disappear after the town of Ranohira, revealing an incredibly vast savanna with endless views of the barren landscape. After Ihosy, the landscape changes abruptly again, with rocks and later mountains dominating the scenery. The Anja Park Reserve is located 12 km south of Ambalavao, offering easy hikes as long as you stay in the lower rock area. Numerous ring-tailed lemurs and other animals can be observed there. After this pleasant hike, continue heading north. In Fianarantsoa, visit the photo studio of the world-famous photographer Pierrot Men, then continue on a bumpy track to Lac Hotel. After today's drive, you will arrive at Lac Hotel, where you can enjoy attentive service in a cozy atmosphere.

Day 12: From Sahambavy to Ranomafana

Short stage from the highlands to the rainforest - 49 km Start your day with a visit to one of the local tea plantations. Then continue towards Ranomafana on an extraordinary road that winds through the primary forest. After crossing this, you can make a stop at Ranomafana National Park to recharge your batteries. Alternatively, you can relax in the heated swimming pool at the Thermal Hotel, where dinner and overnight stay are planned. A visit to the village is also recommended for a unique experience. The red Harley is one of the motorcycles available for rent.

Day 13: From Ranomafana to Antsirabe

From the rainforest to the highlands - 217 km Today's journey is divided into two stages: First, we will travel from Ranomafana to Ambositra. Upon arrival, there will be plenty of time to enjoy a lunch before continuing on our journey. In the afternoon, we will arrive in the highest city in the country, a former spa town located at an altitude of about 1600m. Overnight stay at the Hotel "Chambres du Voyageur"

Day 14: From Antsirabe to Antananarivo

Today, you will spend the last day on the Harley Davidson® and travel back to the capital, Antananarivo. You are scheduled to arrive around noon or in the afternoon, depending on where you choose to have lunch. Upon your arrival in Antananarivo, you will need to return the motorcycles. After that, you have various options for how to spend the rest of the day. Our suggestion: Take a bus to comfortably reach the city center, which is perfect for a leisurely stroll. Afterwards, you can enjoy a delicious dinner at the Le Carnivore restaurant before heading back to Villa Sybille. There, you can either pass the time until your late-night departure or plan for an additional overnight stay if you only need to go to the airport the next day.

Day 15 Return Flight
