Day 1: Arrival in Antananarivo
On the first day of your journey, you will arrive in the Madagascan capital of Antananarivo, where you will be welcomed by us and our team.
You will then be transferred to Villa Sibylle. Upon arrival, a first information meeting is scheduled.
You will have plenty of time to inspect the motorcycles.
We will also provide you with plenty of safety tips and information about the planned route.
In addition, you will enjoy a delicious aperitif to sweeten your first evening in Madagascar. Accommodation will be provided at Villa Sibylle or a similar hotel in the city center. |

Day 2: From Antananarivo to Antsirabe
Embark on a 168 km journey with a slightly chaotic start as you navigate through Antananarivo in the morning to avoid traffic jams.
After just 20 kilometers, leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind and enter a picturesque landscape of hills and rice fields.
Make a first stop in Ambatolampy to interact with the locals before enjoying lunch at a local restaurant and arriving in Antsirabe in the early afternoon. The drive through stunning volcanic landscapes with light traffic allows for easy stops to admire the peaceful scenery.
You may even have enough time for a quick detour to Betafo before indulging in a delicious dinner and settling in for the night at Hotel Chambres du Voyageur. |

Day 3: Excursion to Betafo
This day includes minimal driving but fantastic hikes in a volcanic landscape.
Today starts with a visit to the bustling market of Antsirabe and a motorcycle city tour before heading west. Upon arrival in Betafo, take a leisurely walk to the local waterfall. You can enjoy lunch as a picnic or choose a restaurant in town.
In the afternoon, return to Antsirabe with a stop at the hot thermal springs. Dinner and overnight stay will once again be at Hotel Chambres du Voyageur. |

Day 4: From Antsirabe to Ranomafana
Daily stage of about 240 km - winding route
Begin your journey on a relatively straight road through lush plains dominated by rice fields.
As you continue, the landscape changes and you enter the wooded region of "Tapias".
During this part of the drive, you can spot numerous tree species that are unique to this region. Make a pit stop in Ambositra for a coffee break and refuel your machine.
The road becomes more winding from this point on, with traditional villages and hills lining the way.
When you reach Ambohimahasoa, replenish your own energy reserves with a typical Malagasy lunch.
Continue on a spectacular road that cuts through the unique primary forest, leading you directly to Ranomafana.
For a closer encounter with nature, consider a visit to Ranomafana National Park. Alternatively, explore the village or relax at the hot springs.
Head back to the Thermal Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
A Malagasy lunch awaits you at the Ambohimahasoa Hotel, with arrival in Fianarantsoa scheduled for the afternoon.

Day 5: Ranomafana to Manakara
Today's route takes you along the east coast of Madagascar.
The road winds through an impressive landscape, undoubtedly the most beautiful part of the journey, with lush green vegetation that will captivate you.

Days 6 and 7: Exploring the Area of Manakara
The area around Manakara has a lot to offer for tourists.
Today, we will head about 12 kilometers north, where you will board a boat that will take you through the Pangalanes Canal.
The mighty waterway is impressive in itself.
Equally fascinating is the planned visit to a completely isolated village, promising many sustainable impressions.
The next day is completely free for you to explore Manakara on your own or to admire the Indian Ocean up close.
A visit to the "Trou du Commissaire" is definitely worth it.
A longer tour along the Indian Ocean can also be taken towards Farafangana, with tropical vegetation and good roads.
Accommodation is provided at Hotel Vanilla for overnight stays.

Day 8: Heading to Sahambavy
Approximately 250 km through an incredibly beautiful landscape
On today's Day, you will first drive back on the familiar winding road. You will pass through a hilly landscape, enjoy the views of the tropical forests, and travel back towards the highlands. Upon arrival in Sahambavy, the Lac Hotel welcomes you. This hotel stands out with its unique location in a small wooded area right by a lake. |

Day 9: From Sahambavy to Ambalavao
Today's journey covers a distance of only 68 kilometers, but is filled with various highlights: Start your day in Sahambavy with a visit to a local tea plantation, before continuing to Ambalavao in the early afternoon.
The beautiful road takes you through the familiar rice fields, with a fascinating panorama of numerous hills and the famous wine-growing regions of Madagascar in the background.
Upon arrival in Ambalavao, you will have plenty of time to explore the village known for its exceptional architecture. Afterward, head to the Betsileo Country Lodge where you can enjoy a restful night's sleep following your dinner. |

Day 10: From Ambalavao to the Isalo Massif
From the mountains through the savannahs of the south to Isalo-225 km without traffic
In the morning, we will first visit the Anja Forest, a protected pristine forest area where numerous endemic animal and plant species call home. Lemurs, chameleons, and more can be observed in their natural habitat.
Afterwards, we will continue our journey. As you leave Ihosy behind, you will notice the landscape changing as you head towards the completely barren plateau called Horombe. We will then proceed to the Isalo Ranch Hotel, where you can relax by the pool before winding down the day with a relaxing dinner and overnight stay. |

Day 11: From Isalo to Ifaty
The final section of the journey is 276 km long.
After the first part of today's route, which is characterized by incredible mineral landscapes, the journey continues through the area where the largest sapphire mines are located, further into the barren south. Savannas and deciduous forests with huge baobab trees, later thorn forests with euphorbias and cacti.
Next is a 39-kilometer coastal road, characterized by dune and mangrove landscapes, as well as sections dominated by thorn bush forests.
For overnight stay and dinner, the Belle Vue Hotel is planned, from where you have a great view of a large fishing village. |

Days 12 and 13: Relaxation in Ifaty
Today, you can enjoy your first day of relaxation in Ifaty-Mangily right by the sea. You have the option to visit an impressive spiny forest with many baobab trees, or you can go diving, snorkeling, or simply relax by the Mozambique Channel.
On the second day, a tour can be organized on the new road heading north, where you can enjoy beautiful landscapes and visit small fishing villages along the coast.
Dinner is planned in the village, and accommodation will once again be at Hotel Belladonna. |

Day 14: From Ifaty to Isalo
Today, you will once again spend the day on the road, traveling back north. A stop at the Zombitse-Vahibiasa Reserve is planned halfway through the journey.
Amidst the barren and mineral landscape, you will find beautiful natural pools and waterfalls surrounded by lush tropical nature.
The overpriced national park can easily be replaced by the private area of the Isalo Rock Lodge, offering the same stunning landscape for you to enjoy in peace.

Day 15: From Isalo to Ambalavao
Relatively long stage with a very diverse landscape - 214 km
The Isalo Mountains disappear after the town of Ranohira, revealing an incredibly vast savanna with endless views of the barren landscape.
After Ihosy, the landscape changes abruptly again, with rocks and later mountains shaping the scenery. The Anja Park Reserve is located 12 km south of Ambalavao, offering easy hikes as long as you stay in the lower rock area.
Numerous ring-tailed lemurs and other animals can be observed there.
After this enjoyable hike, continue your journey northward.
At the end of today's drive, you will arrive at the Betsileo Country Lodge, where you can enjoy attentive service in a cozy atmosphere. |

Day 16: From Ambalavao to Ambositra
Stage on the Highlands - 204 km
After breakfast, we continue our journey on the well-paved road towards the north. Leaving behind the huge granite rocks and the barren red laterite soil, the landscape turns green and changes dramatically.
We drive through many small villages, with colors ranging from red earth to bright red against a green background. The landscape is lush green, with the rice fields forming a mosaic of various shades of green reflecting the countless ponds created by the rice fields.

Day 17: From Ambositra to Antsirabe
Short stage to the highlands - 107 km
Enjoy a leisurely drive with minimal traffic.
In the afternoon, we arrive in the highest city in the country, a former spa town located at around 1600m above sea level.

Day 18: From Antsirabe to Antananarivo
Today, you will spend the last day on the Harley Davidson® and travel back to the capital city of Antananarivo.
The planned arrival is for midday or afternoon, depending on where you choose to have lunch.
Upon your arrival in Antananarivo, you will need to return the motorcycles. After that, there are various options for how you can spend the rest of the day.
Our suggestion: Take a bus to easily reach the city center, which is perfect for a leisurely stroll.
Afterwards, you can enjoy a delicious dinner at the Le Carnivore restaurant before heading back to Villa Sybille.
You can either spend time until your late evening flight or plan for an overnight stay if you need to go to the airport the next day. |

The return flight usually takes place in the afternoon or at night.
Day use at Villa Sibylle and airport transfer are included in our service.
