Day 1: Nosy Be – Mitsio

Early in the morning, board the catamaran anchored at the Ambatoloaka crater in Nosy Be for a crossing towards the Mitsio Islands. After crossing sometimes rough seas, you will arrive in the calm and peaceful Mitsio Archipelago. A true oasis of peace and beauty awaits you. You will be amazed to discover a group of uninhabited, untouched islands where dream beaches and turquoise sea offer a grand spectacle. These little islands form an incredible archipelago, including Zarabandjina, Les Quatres Frères, Nosy Tolholo, and finally the main one, the large Mitsio. In this magnificent bay, there are many beaches that give way to a dream-like landscape. Lush tropical vegetation, with vines, orchids, and baobab trees, make the scenery even more extraordinary. The main island of the archipelago, Mitsio, is 12 km long, 3 km wide, and rises up to 206 m above sea level not far from the coast. You will find several fishing villages, as well as many paradisiacal and very tranquil beaches. Enjoy the tranquility on the white sandy stretches surrounded by warm, transparent water. If you're feeling adventurous, you can explore the south of the island, where a unique geological phenomenon has occurred. Basaltic organs emerge from the earth and sea in the form of long columns of brown rock, some several meters high. An extraordinary excursion in a magical atmosphere! Lunch on board and arrival in the late afternoon at the 4 Brothers, monoliths rising from the sea where a variety of birds nest, such as cormorants and frigatebirds. Arrival at the main Mitsio island for the night.

Day 2: Mitsio-Nosy Ankarea

Explore the Great Mitsio, the stunning beach of Ampasindava, and the Pachypodium forest. Facing the Marimbe Bay stands the highest island of Mitsio, Nosy Ankarea. From afar, we can already see the massive shape of this large black rock emerging from the ocean. While the north wall is rugged and steep, the entire south coast borders a beautiful white sandy beach with crystal clear water. We anchor a few meters from the shore, offering the opportunity for a wonderful snorkeling session before exploring the island. At the top of the island lies an amazingly green valley abundant with endemic Aloe Vera plants. It can be reached after a slightly acrobatic climb, but the views all around are breathtaking. Behind the southwestern tip of the island are basalt organs, a geological formation of black basalt. In the afternoon, we set off towards Nosy Ankarea, a table-shaped basalt island bordered by white sand. A trail leads to the summit of the island to admire the magnificent panorama of the entire archipelago. Return to Grande Mitsio for the night.

Day 3: Nosy Lava-Nosy Antaly
