Day 1: Nosy Be – Grande Mitsio

Embarkation at the crater (Ambatoloaka) and departure towards Grande Mitsio, visit of the island, the magnificent beach of Ampasindava, and the Pachypodium forest. Behind the southwestern tip of the island are basalt organs, a geological formation made of black basalt.

Day 2: Cape Saint Sebastian

After breakfast, the route continues towards Cape San Sebastian. Snorkeling or diving. Anchorage on site. This spot is located far above the diving areas usually frequented around Nosy Be, so the dive sites are intact and unexplored.

Day 3: Nosy Hara-Courrier Bay

Embark on a journey to the archipelago of Nosy Hara in the middle of Courrier Bay. This protected area, established since 2012, consists of 17 islands surrounded by coral reefs. Here, you can observe seabirds, bats, and a variety of reptiles, including the Brookesia micra, the world's smallest chameleon. Located in the northwest of Madagascar, Nosy Hara is a hidden gem waiting to be explored. Despite its lesser-known status, it boasts one of the most extraordinary marine landscapes in the world. Designated as a marine national park in 2012, the elongated island of Nosy Hara spans 312 hectares, measuring two to three kilometers from north to south and just a few dozen meters wide. It is predominantly composed of the unique Tsingy rock formations and stunning white sandy beaches. This secluded paradise is a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Day 4: Nosy Lava

Nosy Lava is a volcanic island lined with steep cliffs dropping into the sea. A sandbar connects the two parts of the island. Located off the coast of the town of Analalava on the mainland, Nosy Lava offers everything that makes a paradise with its turquoise waters, coconut palms, fine sandy beach, and white limestone cliffs. Despite its beauty, this island holds a strong historical significance: from 1911 to 2000, it served as Madagascar's last island prison. Today, the prison lies abandoned, with visitors walking through the remnants of old buildings slowly being reclaimed by vegetation. A path behind the old buildings leads through the mangroves, allowing visitors to venture deep into the tall yellow grass savannah and climb up to the lighthouse, from where you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the entire island. Don't miss the opportunity to visit the shark fishing village.

Day 5: Nosy Ankarea

Nosy Ankarea is a table-shaped basalt island bordered by white sand. A path leads to the summit of the island to admire the magnificent panorama of the entire archipelago. This diving spot is located far above the diving areas usually frequented around Nosy Be, so the areas are pristine and unexplored. This small island offers beautiful beaches. It is the highest island in the Mitsio Archipelago, with its highest point reaching 238 meters and is covered with forests.

Day 6: Nosy Tsarabanjina

Explore the stunning island of Nosy Tsarabanjina, known as the Island of White Sand in Madagascar. This small piece of paradise in the middle of the ocean is a must-visit destination. Starting from Nosy Be, this island in the Mitsio Archipelago offers white sandy beaches and lush landscapes. Considered the most beautiful island in the Mitsio Archipelago, Nosy Tsarabanjina is home to colorful fish and vibrant coral reefs that will leave you with unforgettable memories. Discover the Sakalava cemetery located in a large cave on the island. Keep an eye out for fishing eagles, herons, and waterhens as you explore the natural beauty of Nosy Tsarabanjina.

Day 7 – The Four Brothers

The monoliths that emerge from the sea and on which a variety of birds nest, such as cormorants and frigate birds. To the northwest of Tsarabanjina are the very characteristic monoliths of the "Four Brothers", which drop vertically into the water by 20 or 30 meters. They form a square emerging from the water's surface. These rocky domes with smooth, rounded walls prevent access to their peaks, but offer thousands of birds ideal protection and, above all, a nesting place where hundreds of families of brown boobies (Sula leucoblaste) defend a few square decimeters to build their nests in the cliffs, creating a noisy colony.

Itinerary with a visit to the parks of the North

During your stay, you have the opportunity to take a 7- to 8-day catamaran cruise to visit the Mitsio Islands and then the islands of the Nosy Hara Archipelago. In the second part of your stay, you will go ashore in Ampasindava, where a 4x4 vehicle will be waiting to take you to Diego-Suarez. You will visit the city and its colonial-era remains, as well as its bustling market. The next day, you will visit the Three Bays (Sakalava Bay, French Mountain, and the Emerald Sea). The following day, you will explore the Montagne d'Ambre, a true primary forest that is home to numerous endemic species of animals and plants, as well as a magnificent waterfall. On the way back, you can visit the Red Tsingy and the Ankarana Park in one day or two days, depending on your schedule.

Return Journey on Land Day

In this option, you will have a car and driver at your disposal to complement or extend the tour on Land Day as you wish. Through personalized planning, the end of the journey will be worked out and the logistics for it will be set in motion.

Variant by sea without visits to the mainland

This third variant remains resolutely maritime. You will stay on the catamaran and return to Nosy Be by various sea routes. Here, too, we can customize the sailing trip individually, both in terms of its duration and its content and possible activities. Diving, snorkeling, fishing, observing whales or whale sharks and sea turtles - all of this can be part of the journey.
