With an area as large as France and Belgium combined, every city and village in Madagascar is connected to a sprawling network of several hundred kilometers in length. Five thousand kilometers of coastline and seven peaks with heights exceeding 2,000 m, mountains and deserts – Madagascar is a true delight!

Upon your arrival at Ivato International Airport, our team will welcome you and take you to your hotel. Villa Sibylle is a private guesthouse located near the airport, surrounded by a tropical garden. Relax after your flight and enjoy your first dinner in Madagascar with an overnight stay there.

Day 2: From Antananarivo to Ampefy

Route length: 100 miles (160 km) on asphalt and dirt roads. It's time to meet your motorcycle and your guide. Get ready for your first ride: leaving the bustling and somewhat chaotic streets of Antananarivo, you'll travel on a good road between majestic mountains and rice fields heading west. Along the way, you can visit the fascinating Lemur Park. Around Ampefy, you'll have the opportunity to discover Lake Itasy, volcanoes, geysers, and waterfalls. Dinner and overnight stay at Farihy Hotel.

Day 3: From Ampefy to Antsirabe

Distance: 93 miles (150 km) on asphalt and dirt roads On Day 3, you will experience the unique thrill of the roads and tracks. You will pass through beautiful landscapes with rice fields dotted with a variety of villages featuring typical architecture. After this long journey, you will arrive in Antsirabe in the afternoon. Antsirabe is the highest city in the country, sitting at an altitude of around 1600 meters. There are beautiful lakes of volcanic origin in the area. Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel Chambres du Voyageur.

Day 4: From Antsirabe to Ambatofinandrahana

Distance: 100 miles (160 km) on asphalt and dirt roads After a restful sleep, you'll leave Antsirabe at sunrise heading south. You'll travel on National Road 7 (RN7) until Ivato-Centre, then veer off the main road onto tracks at the foot of the Itremo Mountains. This is where your off-road adventure in Madagascar begins! Enjoy dinner and stay overnight at the "Hotel du Marbre", the only hotel in Ambatofinandrahana.

Day 5: From Ambatofinandrahana to Morondava

Route length: 236 miles (380 km) on laterite, sand, and asphalt Early rising will soon be rewarded by beautiful mountain trails. The gates to the great West open before you as you cross the mountains of Itremo and its highest pass at over 2000 meters. The descent to the West Coast offers pilots spectacular landscapes off the beaten path. Dinner and overnight stay at Kimony Lodge Hotel in Morondava.

Day 6: From Morondava to Kirindy

Distance: 51 km on sand Embark on a short but intense journey through the sand of the famous Baobab Alley, passing by majestic, ancient baobab trees. Next, explore the Kirindy Reserve with its unique endemic ecosystem and the native Fossas, a predatory species. Enjoy dinner and spend the night at the Kirindy Resort Hotel.

Day 7: From Morondava to Manja

Distance: 68 miles (110 km) on sand Kick off your morning in Morondava with one of the most thrilling stages of the tour. The day starts with an impressive crossing of the Kabatomena River, which spans over 50 meters wide. The route then takes you through a bush landscape until you reach the salt lake of Belo. During high tide, crossing the salt lake can be challenging or even impossible. Our journey continues through the wilderness until we reach our destination in Manja. The only hotel in town may not offer much, but it's a welcome and relaxing retreat after a tough stage in deep sand. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at Hotel Kanto.

Day 8: From Manja to Andavadoaka

Distance: 136 miles (220 km) on laterite and sand Embark on a challenging day of motorcycling as we navigate various terrains with different technical requirements: sometimes sandy, sometimes hard laterite with termite mounds, and sometimes rocky tracks. Take in the scenery and enjoy the savannah landscape dotted with huge baobab trees and euphorbias, stretching all the way to the banks of the Mangoky River. Cross the river on a ferry and continue on to Andavadoaka. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel Manga Lodge.

Day 9: From Andavadoaka to Salary

Distance: 43 miles (70 km) on sand This is the shortest leg of the journey on one of Madagascar's most challenging routes. Driving along a stunning coastline dotted with baobab trees, you will encounter some of the largest and most untouched sandy beaches imaginable. There is no opportunity to stop along the way, as you may get stuck in the deep sand. Focus and skill are essential. You will be able to relax in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay at Salary Bay Hotel.

Day 10: From Salary to Ifaty

Distance: 42 miles (70 km) on sand and laterite The track widens as we encounter huge bush trucks carrying people, cotton, and other goods on overflowing platforms. Today, you will have to drive more leisurely: in many villages we pass through, it's market day. You will need to use your horn more often to make your way through. Large sand dunes signal our arrival at the coast. When you arrive at the fishing village of Ifaty, you can relax on the beach before reaching the Hotel Belladonna as our final destination. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel Belladonna.

Day 11: From Ifaty to Ranohira

Distance: 149 miles (240 km) on asphalt Embark on the RN7 once again, transitioning from the hills of the coastal bush to the mountains inland. Today is a day of discoveries: you will explore the mineral landscape of Isalo and the unique flora and fauna of the Isalo Massif. The continental sandstone from the Jurassic period forms impressive shapes, colors, and natural sculptures in various areas of the park. Amidst the barren and mineral landscape, you will find stunning natural pools and waterfalls surrounded by lush tropical vegetation. Overnight stay at the Isalo Rock Lodge.

Day 12: From Ranohira to Farafangana

Distance: 230 miles (370 km) on sand Embark on one of the most scenic routes of the journey. Departing from Ranohira, you will leave behind the landscape of the savannah and gradually make your way into the rainforests of the East coast. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 13: From Farafangana to Ranomafana

Distance: 155 miles (250 km) on asphalt road In the morning, you will leave Farafangana for a quick drive on a well-paved road to Manakara. Before lunch in Manakara, you will visit a herbal plantation. The journey continues to the Ranomafana National Park. Upon arrival in the evening, you will have the opportunity to search for nocturnal animals. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel Grenat.

Day 14: From Ranamafana to Ambositra

Distance: 93 miles (150 km) on Laterite This leg of the journey will take you through one of the wildest areas of the red island. Following an unpaved road that can quickly become muddy, you will follow a beautiful river until you reach Ambositra, the capital of arts and crafts. Accommodation at the Hotel des Artisans.

Day 15: From Ambositra to Antananarivo

Distance: 161 miles (260 km) on paved roads On Day 15, drive from Ambositra to Antananarivo through picturesque rice fields surrounded by mountains. Upon arrival in "Tana," you can shop for souvenirs at the market to bring back to friends and family. Enjoy dinner and spend the night at Villa Sibylle. This marks the end of our services for you.
